Buttery Sourdough Garlic Rolls

Butter, eggs, salt, sourdough starter, and spelt flour combine to create the most delicious and buttery brioche based rolls! If you can’t find spelt four, use whole wheat or all purpose flour!

Mix ingredients together until the dough pulls away from the side of the bowl and is shiny and elastic.

Form the ball into a round shape and cover with plastic wrap. Let ferment all day or overnight at room temperature (about 8-10 hours), so it doubles in size.

Take the dough out of the bowl and gently flatten to a 10 x 12 rectangle.  Brush 2 Tbsp of melted butter over the top to cover and then sprinkle garlic evenly all over.

Roll the dough semi-tightly into a log shape.  Cut the dough into 12 pieces and place them in a square pan. Cover the pan with plastic wrap and let proof.

Once the rolls have proofed, brush with butter and top with everything bagel seasoning (optional) before baking.

Bake at 375 for 20-25 minutes or until done. Brush with more melted butter while they're still warm and serve.
